Not sure what to say?

I was so sorry not to be able to attend Jane's Memorial service. I have only the fondest of memories of her. She was always so gracious and kind. And I remember her as a patient piano teacher, especially when I forgot to practice! I will offer a Mass for her peaceful repose and for the comfort of all her family and friends who mourn her loss. May she rest in peace!

Remembering Mrs Kidd, the Kidd family and the memories of Rugen Road fondly. Those were special times that, like Mrs Kidd, will be cherished forever.

Dear Sherri and family,
Sending our sincere condolences.

My sincere sympathy to all the family, Jane was a good friend when we were in high school.
Anna Mae Lynn Held

My sympathy to Jane's family and friends. Jane and I were classmates at Easton High School Class of 1949. Fond memories of our High School years. Always looked forward to seeing her at the annual Alomni Reunion. Sometimes we were the only members of the Class of 1949 attending. Again my sympathy in your loss.

Jane's Obituaries

Jane Fager Kidd, age 84, a resident of West Chicago, formerly of Barrington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 30th, 2015.  She was born October 2, 1931 in Easton, Illinois, the third of four daughters to John and Dorothy Fager.

Jane grew up in Easton and graduated from Easton Community High School in 1949.  She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Music Education, where she was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and Delta Omicron National Professional Music Fraternity.  She met William L. Kidd at college and they were married on June 12, 1954.  While Bill served in the military, Jane worked as a music teacher in Chandlerville, Illinois.  When Bill returned from military service they lived in the Chicago area and Oshkosh, Wisconsin.  They raised their three children in Glenview and Barrington.  Jane was an active member of the Glenview United Methodist Church and the Garden Club.

She was very musical and taught piano lessons in Glenview and sang in church choirs.  After moving to Barrington in 1970 Jane began her career in the insurance industry. She worked at Liberty Mutual and Arthur J Gallagher until her retirement in 2000.  She was a loving caretaker to her mother-in-law, Mae Kidd, for many years.

In 1997, she moved to West Chicago where she was a member of the Wheaton Sports Center and the Gary United Methodist Church.  In addition to music, Jane’s interests included creative pursuits such as knitting, gardening and entertaining. She was an avid follower of Chicago sports teams.

She is survived by her three children, Sherrie (Jon) Wenzel of Sugar Grove, Tara (Craig) Stow of Saline, Michigan and William (Jen) Kidd of Arlington Heights and six grandchildren, Sean, Andrew (Michelle), Em, Brenna, Evalyn and Kirkwood. She is also survived by her three sisters, Patricia Hovey, Janice Hannagan, and Marjorie “Ginger” Pottorf and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997 and her parents.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday January 9, from 11 to 1:45 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.  A memorial service will follow at 2:00PM at Gary United Methodist Church (just across from the funeral home).

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jane should be made to the charity of your choice.
