Not sure what to say?

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Jan, DeAnne & I were roommates in the late 50's living near the U of M. We have kept in touch over the years. At one time, they lived in Columbia Heights, MN where I live once again. I will truly miss our communication and friendship.

Jan (and her loving husband, Norm) were good friends of my Mother and Father (both deceased). Norm worked with my Dad at Honeywell, and as a kid, I would go to my Dad's softball games. As was usually the case, my Mom and Jan would be there to cheer the guys on, and I would be either on the bench as the batboy, or climbing a tree somewhere. In recent times, Jan would reach out to me by email to check on my Mom, and after Mom passed away, she would email me her annual Christmas letter. Once in...

We are friends of Bob and Diane from Mankato. We know how close Bob was to his sister and we are so sad for your loss.

Just a couple of photos from those early days growing up in Iowa.

So sorry for your loss. Jan and I grew up together in the Fairview Consolidated School community in Iowa. Being From a small rural school we knew everyone and participated in all activities together. Most memorable was being part of 6 person girls basketball team for 5 years as well as class plays, music ensembles, speech contests, and classes. Jan was an integral part of my growing up. We kept in contact all these years although physical get togethers were few. I followed her cancer...

Our time as neighbors was short but filled with wonderful memories. Our dinners out with interesting conversation and just knowing you and Norm was a great addition to our lives. You carried on with grace and dignity in your fight with cancer. Always a smile. God keep you in His arms and grant peace to your family.

We are honored and blessed that God placed Jan and Norm in our lives almost 16 years ago. Jan, you fought a long and hard battle valiantly. It is comforting to know you are now pain free and at peace. You will be greatly missed. Dear friend, rest now in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
