Janet's Obituary

Janet passed away peacefully Friday, December 30, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region from complications from pneumonia at the age of 75 years old. The daughter of the late Henry and Florence (Weber) Wirsing, Janet was born March 5, 1941 in Auburn, Michigan. Janet was a member of St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church in Kawkawlin, sang in the church choir, and was an active member of its Ladies Aid Society. After many years of service, Janet retired from Delta College as an executive secretary in 2000.Left behind to cherish Janet's memories are her children, Todd (DeAnne) Frank; Troy Frank and Amy (Scott) Perrault; her grandchildren, Christopher and T.J. Frank, Alexandra and Mitchell Perrault; her sisters, Karolea (Preston) Streeter, Diane King, Sandra (Ronald) Jones; her brother-in-law, Jack (Marilyn) Frank; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary L. Frank whom she married September 13, 1958 and he passed away October 1, 2010, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence and Alzena Frank.Funeral and Committal Services will take place Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church in Kawkawlin. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Seafert with private interment in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. to receive family and friends. Janet will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donating to the St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church Stained Glass Restoration Project.
