Janet Green

Janet Louise Perry Green, 84, wife of Darrell Green, passed away on November 20, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY. Born May 29, 1941, in Anderson County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Alex Gilbert “Tebo” Perry and Louella Frances Franklin Perry.

Janet was a member of Alton Christian Church and a graduate of Anderson High School. She retired as Executive Secretary in the Division of Plumbing with the State of Kentucky after 43 years of dedicated service. Janet was an avid golfer and a member of the Juniper Hills Ladies Golf Club. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether tending to her yard and flowers, walking, or relaxing with puzzle books on her deck. A breast cancer survivor, she actively participated in Breast Cancer Awareness walks. Above all, Janet cherished her family, keeping them close and sharing her love and care with all who knew her.

Including Darrell, her husband of 18 years, Janet is survived by her children, Tonya (Lauren) Green of Louisville, KY, and Tracy Green of Lawrenceburg, KY; her step-children, Gena (Michael) Beard of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Stacie (RL) Trent of Lexington, KY, and Krista (Jeff) Hayes of Rock Hill, SC; her siblings, Carolyn (Wayne) Sheffield, Bobby (Peggy) Perry, and Michael (Bonnie) Perry; her grandchildren, Alex McKenzie, Wyatt Trent, Sawyer Trent, Benjamin Hayes, and Jackson Hayes; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service will be held at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 North Main Street, Lawrenceburg, KY, on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Noal Cotton, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3250 Versailles Road, Frankfort, KY.

Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Sheffield, Rick Honican, Wyatt Trent, Michael Beard, RL Trent, Jeff Hayes, Mike Perry, Bobby Perry, and Ray Perry.
