So very sorry to hear Jan has passed. She was such a wonderful person and a dear work friend and colleague. She was always so helpful and fun to be around. She will be deeply missed. My sympathies to her family.

Janice Marie Dmytryszyn (nee Thielen), a finance project manager and long-term resident of Monticello, MN, died unexpectedly in her home on July 17, 2017 at the age of 65.
Janice was born in St. Paul on March 16, 1952 to Nonette Miller and Reynold Thielen. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1974 and served as a Business Education instructor in the Becker and Elk River school districts. In 1993 she began her 24-year career with Ameriprise Financial.
Janice was an involved member of both the Monticello and St. Henry’s communities. She supported her sons’ participation in the local Scout troops and school music programs. She enjoyed travel, visiting every state and her ancestral home of Ireland. She was a loving family member and will be deeply missed.
Janice is survived by her children, Mark and Matthew Dmytryszyn; granddaughter, Alexis Dmytryszyn; sister, Cynthia Iker; and brother, Paul Thielen.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on July 21 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church; 1001 E. 7th Street, Monticello. Father Anthony VanderLoop will say the mass. Visitation is scheduled for 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on July 20 at the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel; 250 E. Broadway, Monticello; and one hour prior to the mass on Friday. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jan’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Henry’s Catholic Church.
