My sister, what can I say. I called her JanJan. She always made a way to make you laugh, no matter the circumstance. She taught me many things in life that were valuable attributes. My sister saw the best in other people. She was never negative. And out of her mouth never came anything but good. She never argued with anyone, it wasn't in her to do so.

Janice went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2026. She was the daughter of Carl and Jennie Swalgin of Cassville. She was one of six children.
Janice was a long-time member of Watertown Baptist Temple. She loved going to church and making everyone smile. She also enjoyed doing puzzles, watching golf, going out to eat and a good cup of hot coffee. Her grandsons, Zachary Healey and Dakota Anderson were her pride and joy. She told everyone about them.
Janice is predeceased by both of her parents.
Janice is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Healey) Anderson and her two grandsons, Zachary Healey and Dakota Anderson. She is also survived by her brothers, Paul, Kenny and Ted Swalgin and her sisters Margaret (Peggy) Salamancha and Susan (Susie) Addington, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the ARC of Jefferson County for the many years she resided there. A very special thank you to the staff at Samaritan Medical Center for the wonderful care they provided to her and her daughter her last week on Earth.
There will be a service in the Spring at Watertown Baptist Temple.
Arrangements are with Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Inc. and condolences may be left online at www.reedbenoit.com.
