What a wonderful friend was your Mom to my parents Dick and Sue Church! ( along with your Dad of course ) I have such great memories of both of your parents. mine have been gone for so long . i’m so happy for you all that you’ve been able to keep building memories with your mom until she was 94!!!

Jean and Doady - 2017

Most of what I knew about “Cousin Jean” came from the stories told to me by my mother Doady Paczos who was one of Jean’s first cousins. My mother admired Jean for her humor, dignity, and resilience. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to spend some time with Jean and her son Andy in 2017 when I accompanied my mother to San Diego for Michelle Krall’s wedding. It was a good time and I felt fortunate to get to know Jean and her side of our family better.

Steve, Tom, and Andy, Your mom will always be a part of you. She is so proud of you boys. We had so much fun throughout our long friendship. Mary Lee and felt she was family to us. Her and I shared our birthdays, and I miss that the most. My prayers are with you all. We will certainly be there in June. Super teacher and super person. Tom Muench

Myself and my family enjoyed sharing Thanksgiving with Jean over the years. She was always excited and willing to participate in any game or activity, especially group solitaire. My kids called her Oma and my son remembers how much fun he had dancing with her at weddings.

I first met Jean when I was an 11 year old boy. I used to play basketball next door to her home on Pelham Dr. She always talked to me when she went outside to work in her garden. She really wanted me to meet her son Andy. She had a great smile and was so friendly. Two years later I moved into the JD school system and became great friends with her son Andrew who was the same year as me.
