She was always so kind to me and my children and when we would go and stay at her house, I loved aunt Net You always felt so welcome in her home. She cooked the best Meals. She was an excellent cook, and so I felt the least that we could do is before we left to go home back to Shreveport. The kids and I Bart would change the bed linen wash, dry and put up the other vacuum mop, dust empty garbage cans that was the least we could do for her. She left a legacy for sure especially in our hearts...

Funeral services for Jeanette J. Evans, 91, of Hot Springs, AR will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Mt. Olive Church with burial immediately after in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sailes, LA.
She was born June 29, 1934 in Ringgold, LA to the late Ardis and Chrystell Jenkins. Jeanette had a lifelong passion for helping others. She touched many lives with her many forms of generosity. Jeanette loved to cook, garden and fish. She took great pride in taking care of her family and her home.
She was a devoted wife to the love of her life for over forty years, Moreland B. “Rip” Evans.
Left to cherish her memories include her beloved daughter, Lili LyAnne Draper and grandson, Dayton A. Draper; sisters as well as best friends, Nancy Bogan and Sue Brown. She had too many nieces and nephews to list, and she showed love to them all they and they showed love back. Jeanette was especially close to nephews, John Batton and Kevin Jenkins. Also many other relatives and friends.
