Sandy I was saddened to hear of Jeff's passing. I will always remember him fondly.I know it will be hard for you but always remember the good times you two had together. Keep your friends close, it will help.

RIP Jeff. Keep an eye on U of M football.

Loved my Uncle Jeff . Always had a smile for me . And I will always remember his witty sense of humor . Always had me cracking up . Semper Fi Uncle Jeff .

Matt, Sally, Timm, and the entire Lignitz I am so sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. I always enjoyed the conversations that I had with him in the Davison area. May he rest in peace.

Jeffery's Obituary

Jeffery Lee Lignitz Sr. of Davison age 85 died Wednesday July 30, 2025 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility surrounded by his family. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place, with burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Those desiring to make contributions in Jeffery’s memory may make them to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Jeffery was born in Flint, Michigan on April 18, 1940 the son of the late George and Evelyn (Roberts) Lignitz and resided in the Davison all of his life growing up on Kessling St. Answering the call of his country Jeffery served in the Marines Reserves from 1963 until honorably discharged 1969 with rank of Sergeant  . He was joined in marriage to Sandra Boyce on September 16, 1967 in Davison, Michigan. Jeffery attended Wolcott Elementary School before graduating from Davison High in 1958. He was member of the Lapeer Firelocks. Jeffery enjoyed duck and deer hunting, collecting antiques and was an avid Michigan fan. He was employed by Williams Gunsight, Davison Township Police Department and as security guard at AC for twenty eight.  

He leaves to cherish his memory wife of fifty seven years; Sandra; children: Jeffery Jr. (Becky) Lignitz , Heidi Ramirez ,and George Lignitz; granddaughter: Taylor Ramirez; sister: Tina Lignitz; brother: Matthew (Sally) Lignitz; brother in law: Timm Rye; sister in laws’ : Alberta Boyce-Johnson, Patty Boyce, and Kathy Boyce; special friend: Jack Duprey, and host extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by sister: Sallie Rye, and father and mother in law: Frank and Eleanor Boyce. Please share your condolences at www.HansenFuneralHome.net
