Jeffrey's Obituary

God called home Jeffrey Hinkle, Jr. on March 11, 2023.

He was the only son of Jeffrey and Shari Hinkle. Jeffrey was 32 years old but did a lot of living in his short life. He was a good son that loved his parents and tried to help them in any way he could, when he was around home. He enjoyed visiting with his only sibling Katie and her husband Galyn. He also loved spending time with his niece Addy and nephew Jackson, whom he loved very much. He is also survived by his dear Grandma Ethel, whom he was very close to; his aunts and their husbands: Kelli (Edward), Darci, Cindy (Tim), and Becky (Dave); several cousins, and lifelong friend Steven. It was Jeffrey’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life was held on his birthday, July 29, 2023. We all will miss him terribly.

Jeffrey was the cutest little boy; blond, a little chubby, with a happy-go-lucky attitude. He was a little mischievous but always entertaining. He was adored by his Grandma Carol, who he is with now. Jeffrey had a kindness about him, He was always happy and upbeat. So quick to smile and he had an amazing laugh that he shared often.

Around 6 years ago he was living in Texas with his Aunt Kelli and her family. His Uncle Edward was a truck driver and they introduced Jeffrey to driving semi-trucks. His Aunt Kelli was very close to Jeffrey and she helped him in so many ways. He was blessed to have spent that time with her, and that’s where he found a trade he came to love and excelled at. He completed and graduated from Kirkland College’s truck driving school, and off he went cross country driving, enjoying it and seeing this beautiful country we live in! He shared many pictures of the places he had seen and was so proud of his job and truck. Jeffrey worked for Martin Trucking and was given a brand-new truck to drive.  He drove from Texas, Florida, New York, Oregon, and Washington state to all the states in between. Just a couple of weeks before he passed, he wrote of smelling the redwood trees in northern California, Jeffrey loved life and enjoyed his years here on earth, He will be missed by his family and friends he made along his way in life.

Jeffrey enjoyed riding snowmobiles, motorcycles, and a little Ranger truck his dad would let him and Katie drive around some when they were young. He loved floating down the AuSable River and made many trips throughout his summers,

He was his dad’s hunting buddy and helped his dad keep up with things he wasn’t able to since he became sick. He was loved dearly by his parents and was a good son to them both. There will forever be a hole in their hearts for him, as it went to heaven with Jeffrey. May we find comfort knowing he is with our Heavenly Father in paradise where there is no pain, worry, or sadness.

Please pray for his parents, sister, niece, nephew, dearest Grandma Ethel, family, and friends as we must travel on with our memories and heartache of losing this young man way too soon. We love you Jeffrey and will see you again when it’s our time.
