Not sure what to say?

So many of us who know Jeff use the same words about Jeff during his life and in his death. A smart, committed to justice, caring and loving/loved person, Jeff has a special place in the hearts of so many including me. Always ready with a smile and a warm hug. My condolences to Ed and others in Jeff's world. May his memory be for the blessings he brought in life.

Jeff. You are one of the greatest souls we have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. May your light always shine down on all the touching memories of all on earth. Say hello to Roz, you are just like her. Love always

Jeff was a pure emanation of love and kindness in the world! I was blessed to have Jeff as my introduction to Wilmington and the Silver Pride Circle he and Ed have built up to bring people together. God has blessed us all by having had you in our lives!

I was lucky to meet Jeff through our work with SAGE. We walked together around the city of Portland year’s ago admiring the culture and art there. Please accept my deepest condolences. Jeff was one of the kindest, fun loving humans I’ve ever met. I didn’t know he was sick, and am so sad to learn of his passing.

Some friendships arrive when we need them most. When I found my way to Wilmington and the Sage community, Jeff was one of the first people to welcome me with open arms. His heart for this community was enormous, and his friendship meant the world to me. I am forever grateful!

I move to Wilmington right after coming out as trans. Jeff made me feel welcome and introduced me to a community full of love and respect. I came to learn that he was an example of what a loving community could be and somehow managed to let his light lead the way for those shared those values to bond and grow together. Cannot express how much he meant to me and to all of us.

Jeff, we loved seeing you and Ed when Jay would come to see us. I remember all the conversations about your mom! I prayed for you as my husband is also battling pancreatic cancer. I know Ed was your love and stood by you during your battle with this terrible disease. I am praying now for him - as he mourns your passing - but he is blessed with all the love you both had for each other!.. — with much love Mike and Linda Rizzo

Edward, we are so sorry for your loss- Carmen Sox @ David Ward SF

Oh dear friend, sad to hear of your passing. I will remember all of the social justice events around town, HIV/AIDS activism, the wonderful times with your mom, and the occasional glass of wine together. You were a light in the darkness and you will be missed. To Ed, my deepest condolences
