Jennifer's Obituary

Jennifer Sue PalmoreFebruary 9, 1970 – June 4, 2025Jennifer Sue Palmore passed away on June 4, 2025. She was born in Elko, Nevada and raised on the Palmore family homestead on 14th Street in Diamond Valley, Nevada. She graduated from Eureka High School in 1988.In adulthood, Jennifer divided her time between the family farm during the summer and the quiet comforts of Reno in the winter. She was her father’s foremost aide and right-hand woman, especially after the passing of her beloved mother, Jane Palmore, in 2003. Jennifer ran the household, managed the books, operated equipment, and brought unmatched organization to the Palmore farm. She was endlessly devoted to her family and selflessly stepped up to help whenever needed. When she wasn’t turning circles on the field in her swather, you could find her cooking a delicious meal or spinning circles around the kitchen dancing with Chug.Jennifer had a big voice, a big personality, and an even bigger heart. She was best known for her quick wit and spicy humor. Though she lived simply, Jennifer had a deep love for all things quirky, frivolous, and fancy. Her passions included reading, interior decorating, and challenging anyone brave enough to face her in Scrabble. She was an avid audiobook listener and had a love for 80s music. We will miss her unforgettable laugh, stories, and unfiltered thoughts that reflected her rare spirit.  Holidays will not be the same without her amusing cards, fabulous costumes and a fascinator (hat) for every occasion. She is survived by her father, Donald “Chug” Palmore; her sisters Teresa (Mark) Moyle and Faye (Scott) Stevens; sister-in-law, Barbara Key; and her many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jane Palmore; and siblings Lynn Priest and Don Key. She was a devoted daughter, fierce friend, fun aunt, and a beloved sister.A Celebration of Life will be held in Jennifer’s honor in Eureka, Nevada on Saturday, October 4, 2025. She leaves us with memories of bold laughter, good books, rich food, and great tequila. Please bring your favorite memories to share of a life lived unapologetically and with heart.
