Not sure what to say?

Jerry was an amazing man! I got to work with him at JRM and he was also one of my Dad's best friends, so we were a lot like family. We spent many days hunting and working together. His dry sense of humor and smile will be greatly missed!

I'm so sorry for your loss I worked with Jerry for many years at Jacob Ranch

I'm so sorry for your loss
I enjoyed working for Mr Jerry over the last few months

Jerald "Jerry"'s Obituary

Jerry Cox, 85, of Farnam, passed away peacefully in his home on August 15, 2025.  He was born on November 10, 1939, in Maywood, Nebraska.

Jerry was a loving husband and a devoted father to Jerry (Teresa) Cox.  He was also a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Jess Klein (Dan Pandorf) of Arnold, Nebraska, Linda Masterson (Bryce) of Deer Park, Washington, Jon Klein (Sophia) of North Platte, and Jerry Cox (Danielle) of Henderson, Nebraska; eight great-grandchildren, Daden Masterson, Zeke Cox, Jayden Klein, Karmella Klein, Blayz Masterson, Margo Klein, Cora Cox, and Leah Cox.

Jerry spent his career as a mechanic.  He owned the North Platte Sinclair gas station in the 1960’s.  The rest of his career was spent maintaining heavy-duty equipment for construction companies in Nebraska and Jacob’s Ranch coal mine in Wyoming.

In 2002, Jerry retired from the coal mine and spent his time hunting in the fall and traveling south for the winter.  In 2015, Jerry moved to Nebraska to be closer to his family.

He was passionate about race cars, guns, and hunting.  He liked riding motorcycles, ATVs, and snowmobiles.

Jerry was known for his generous spirit, stubborn and mischievous conduct, and enjoying the company of his family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie (Richardson) Cox of 65 years; parents, Floyd and Hawthorne Cox; brothers-in-law, John Cart and Gary Cart.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Farnam Senior Center.  Expressions of sympathy can be given at www.adamsswanson.com.
