this was my uncle. he died. i went there when i was in 3rd grade and i missed a lot of stuff. i still got to go on a plane though. if my aunt sees this, hi aunty jinny!!

Jeremy "Jerry"'s Obituary

Wallace, IN - Jeremy “Jerry” Burr Alder, 64, of London, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Nov. 30, 2020.

Jerry was born Nov. 17, 1956, at Danville, Illinois, to the late Dr. Verne H. Alder who raised Jerry alongside his mother, Judith E. (Livengood) Alder-Howard. During his childhood, in Danville, Jerry was a Boy Scout where he was chosen by the Kickapoo Indian Hobbyist Association to perform the Eagle Dance. He also played pee wee football, little league baseball, and attended Danville City Schools, graduating in 1974.

A few of his hobbies were spending time with his family, camping, and golfing with friends and family. He also counted down every year to the Indy 500 on Memorial Day weekend.

Jerry will be deeply missed by his mother and step-father Ronald Howard; loving wife and best friend, Virginia (Fortman) Alder; children, Kristen (Benjamin) Arnold, Joshua (Danielle) Alder, Elizabeth Alder and Jeremy Alder; grandchildren, Keylan Alder, Dylon Smith, Addelynn Alder, Emily Arnold and Samuel Arnold; brother Robin (Brenda) Alder; along with many friends and family members.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at the Phanuel Lutheran Church, east of Wallace, on Sunday, May 23rd with a gathering of family and friends from 12:30 p.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ryan Sowers officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Wallace Lutheran Cemetery.
