Jerry R. Jeffrey Real Estate Investor
Lunenburg: Jerry R. Jeffrey, 50, a life long resident of Lunenburg and Summerfield, FL since 2015, died Wednesday, August 23, in Massachusetts General Hospital, after a year long battle with Melanoma.
He leaves his daughter, Victoria A. Jeffrey of Summerfield, FL; his mother, Jacqueline (Gosselin) Jeffrey of Lunenburg; his sister, Jo Anne Hamberg of Lunenburg; and one nephew, Nijal Hamberg of Lunenburg.
Jerry was a self-employed real estate investor.
He attended the Turkey Hill School in Lunenburg and was a 1985 graduate of Montachusett Regional Vocational School in Fitchburg. In additon, he was a graduate of Fitchburg State College, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Sciences.
Jerry enjoyed camping, hiking, and riding motorcycles. He once drove cross country in his souped up truck camper. He was known to try everything once.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a Specialist from 1988 to 1990.
Jerry was born in Fitchburg, MA on December 29, 1966, a son of the late Raymond J. Jeffrey, who died in 2008.
Jerrys funeral with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, August 26, at 3 p.m. in the Lunenburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 763 Mass Ave., Lunenburg. Rev. Mary Ann Barry will be the Celebrant.
Calling hours at the funeral home are on Saturday, August 26 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Mass General Cancer Center, 125 Nashua St., Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114-1101 (memo: Melanoma Cancer Research) or may be left at the funeral home.
