Jerry's Obituary

Jerry E. Ozeretny, 85, of Shawnee, OK, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 in a local nursing home.Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Steven Dominy officiating.  Burial will follow in  Resthaven Memorial Park.  The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with friends and family.  They have designated the Salvation Army as appropriate for memorials.

Jerry was born April 7, 1932 in Prague, Oklahoma to Henry & Mary (Kubicek) Ozeretny.  He was a graduate of Centerview High School.  November 22, 1952 - November 4, 1954 he served as a Sergeant in the US Army.  On September 24, 1955 he married Patricia Musick in Shawnee, OK.  She preceded him in death on August 17, 2016.   For 36 ½ years he worked as a supervisor in Logistics at Tinker Air Force Base.

Jerry was a member of University Baptist Church in Shawnee, and a lifetime member of VFW and the American Legion.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a brother: Adolph Ozeretny, 2 sisters: Pauline Quesenberry and Helen McClung, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Ruth & Vernon Musick.

He is survived by a Son: Gary Lee Ozeretny of Tecumseh, OK;  a Daughter: Susan Kay Koontz of Keller, TX; Two Grandsons: Cory Ozeretny of Okla. City, OK & Leland Konechney of Shawnee; Three Granddaughters: Madison Koontz and Macy Koontz, both of Keller, TX, and Charmain Webb of Shawnee; Brother: Ernest Ozeretny of Lake Charles, LA; and a Sister: Josephine Brewer.
