Jerry, a very good friend, always had nice conversations. He would make me laugh with some of his (what I called) Kentucky sayings! I will miss him. My heart goes out to his family.

Jerry was like a Dad to me. He was always so thoughtful/kind. When I came to visit, he would bring JJ’s Italian Beefs to my Aunt’s house because he knew I loved them. We spoke on the phone over the years and he helped me through a difficult time in my life. He always commented on my FB page and I will miss that. I will miss him. He was loved. Jerry Lenville Walker, age 76, of Hobart passed away Saturday March 22, 2025, in the St Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Jerry was born September 30, 1948, in Marion, Kentucky to the late Cecil and Velma (Wheeler) Walker. He retired with thirty-two years of service from Midwest Steel. He was a graduate of River Forest High School, and a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Hobart Eagle Lodge.
Jerry is survived by three daughters, Jerri (Jeff) Estes of Westville, Kristy (Sam) Marasco of Valparaiso, and Stacy (Harry) Sisamis of Kouts; ten grandchildren; one great grandson due any day now; two brothers, Darrell Walker of Florida, and Stacey (Sherry) Walker of Lake Station; one sister, Ruth (Carl) Stanley of Hobart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brad Walker; and two brothers, Troy Walker and Mitchell Walker.
Jerry wished to be cremated and his remains placed in a niche at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
