My sympathies and deepest condolences to the Jesse Bryant family. I have known Jesse for at least 75 years. We were neighbors in "the Village" on Cottonwood in the early 50s. We attended the same schools during that period, Washington Elementary. We picked blackberries and played ball together. There were a lot of kids in the Village, and we all got along very well. Mr. Jesse Wilson Bryant, 86, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas.
The Celebration Service Celebrating the life of Mr. Bryant will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church, located at 3755 Fannett Road, Beaumont, Texas 77705 with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Cemetery, under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home. A public visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel and on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church. The practice of social distancing and facial masks are recommended.
Mr. Bryant's memories will forever remain in the hearts of his loving and devoted wife, Deborah Bryant of Beaumont, Texas; children, Pamela Bryant Washington of San Antonio, Texas, Amanda Stelly and Troy Stelly, Sr. (Michelle) both of Houston, Texas; brother, Johnny Lee Bryant of Beaumont, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
