I’m so sad to hear the news of Jesse I have known a very long time as he not only went to school with me he was a very good friend throughout the yrs always laughing and joking and loving to pull a prank just to get someone to laugh or smile Rip Jesse till we someday meet again my friend .

Obituary

Jesse's Obituary

Jesse J. Kampnich, 49, Black River passed away Saturday, August 16th at his home surrounded by his nearest family and friends while he was on comfort care under the direction of Jefferson County Hospice.

Jesse was born January 17, 1976, the son to Stanley Kampnich and Peggy Hamilton Bauter. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1994.

He enjoyed the outdoors and had a passion for hunting, camping, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling. Jesse especially loved spending time with his mother, stepfather, and family. He also cherished the companionship of his two dogs, Lacey and Jenny.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Peggy and Dale Bauter; his father and stepmother, Stanley and Nadine Kampnich; his siblings, Matthew Kampnich, Luke Kampnich, and Sarah Kampnich; stepbrothers, Travis Bauter, Kevin Bauter and Jason Bauter, along with several nieces and nephews.

Jess was predeceased by his former wife, Leilani Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Black River Legion on Saturday, August 30th beginning at 2:00 pm.
