Jesse "Raheen" Lee Perkins Jr.

1965 - 2024

Jesse Lee Perkins Jr. (better known as “Raheen”), 59, born to Gloria Jean Porter Perkins Seabron and Jesse Lee Perkins Sr. in Brooklyn, New York on March 29, 1965. He graduated from East New York Vocational High School and attended Brooklyn College City University of New York where he obtained his master certification in HVAC.

Raheen was a true lover of psychology and related literature. He enjoyed fitness, music, and traveling in his earlier years. Raheen will be remembered for his laugh, smile, and his strong personality. He was a truly dedicated to his profession in HVAC and was a pivotal part of his community.

Raheen was preceded in death by his parents and his son Raheen Best. He is survived by his daughters: I-Sharii Best, Glori Best, Ciara Beverly, Kyra Perkins, and a bonus son Levi Santiful Jr. Raheen was also survived by his sisters: Victoria “Vickie” Applewhite (Harold “Johnny” Applewhite), Henry “Skip” Perkins (Paula Perkins), Vanessa Santiful (Levi Santiful Sr.), Vivica “Vivi” McLain (Anthony “Tony” McLain), Carter Seabron, and William “Billy” Seabron (Juedia Seabron). He also leaves to cherish his memory, two granddaughters Sa’Niyah Best, Reilyn Bell and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

The memorial service will be held on August 26, 2024 between 3-5pm at Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home (4304 Victoria Blvd., Hampton, VA 23669).
