Jesse V Turpin, born on February 2, 1942, to Othel Pete and Thelma Turpin of Nancy, Kentucky, passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 83. He was a resident of Kettering, Ohio.
A faithful member of the East Dayton Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam veteran. Jesse retired from Progressive Printers and Patent Printing. He enjoyed golf, attending auctions and garage sales. He also enjoyed attending loved one’s football and soccer games. Jesse was a very kind person who made friends wherever he went. He truly enjoyed life.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Turpin; two brothers, Larry (Phyllis) Turpen and Othel (Tracey) Turpin; three sisters, Mary Ann Woodson, Gladys Bryant and Peggy Lockwood; two sisters-in-law, Anna Clarice Turpin and Nancy Turpen; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends who are saddened by his passing.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers, Lowell Thomas Turpin (infant), Eugene Turpen, Curtis Turpin, Ervin (June) Turpen, Murrell (Sally) Turpen and Glen (Alene) Turpin; one sister, Dorsie (Dan) Hodapp; and two brothers-in-law, Ron Woodson and Jack Lockwood.
A visitation will be held at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, located at 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio, on January 20, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The funeral service will follow at the same location, beginning at 12:00 pm. The final resting place will be David's Cemetery, located at 4600 Mad River Road, Dayton.
