Not sure what to say?

To the entire Stump family. I am very sorry for your loss. Jill had the opportunity before she left to see Jeremy. Her son turn his life around. I'm sure that was something she was very proud of! She was always the kindest lady, no matter if she knew you or not. And Daryl may god be with you through this tough times.

Jill's Obituary

Jill Stump, a resident of Nappanee, IN, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025. She was 65 years old. Jill was born on June 21, 1960, in Ontario, CA to Carl and Sharon (Monroe) Alexander.  Jill grew up in California and then married Daryl Stump on April 4, 1981 at the Brethren in Christ Church in Upland, CA.  After their marriage, Jill and Daryl moved to the Nappanee area. Jill quickly became known for her deep-seated warmth, unwavering work ethic, and quick, memorable wit. Jill worked as a florist at Martin's Supermarket Floral Shop for many years. She found immense joy in the art of flower arrangement, and she cherished her colleagues and clients, treating them all as extended family. Her thoughtfulness and attention to detail brought light and comfort to countless occasions. Jill also enjoyed crafting and sewing, making clothing and stuffed animals for family and friends.  The same creative passion that drove her work with flowers could be found in her craft and sewing creations. Jill will be remembered by her loved ones as a truly selfless person who always prioritized the needs of others. She was a dedicated mother, navigating life with resilience and incredible strength, especially during her later years when her health and mobility declined. Jill is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Daryl Stump of Nappanee; her devoted children: daughter, Danée Miller of Louisville, KY and son, Jeremy (Kaley) Stump of Nappanee, IN. She also leaves behind her treasured grandson, Aiden Wesson, of Goshen; and two step grandchildren: Kady and Brody Hutsell of Nappanee; two brothers, Tim (Cindy) Alexander and Kevin (Lisa) Alexander, both of California. Jill was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Sharon Alexander of California. Visitation will be held from 10am – 1pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel (Enter Door H).  A funeral service will begin at 1pm in the NMC Chapel and burial will follow in Union Center Cemetery.
