Jimmie D. (J.D.) Inman, Jr. died on Saturday, June 16, 2018. He was born in Bladen County, NC on July 24, 1927 to the late Jimmie D. Inman, Sr. and the late Katie Cook Inman. He was employed in tire service, Converse, and Freeman Motor Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Taylor Inman; brothers, Marshall Inman and E.G. Inman; sisters, Katie Lee Paul and Clyde Hicks; sons-in-law, Charles Howell and Lee Coleman; and daughter-in-law, Sylvia B. Inman.
Mr. Inman is survived by his sons Gary Inman and Sidney Inman of St. Pauls; daughters, Myra Howell of Lumberton, Gwen Mishue (Robert) of Lumberton, Marsha Nelson (Joseph) of the home, and Beth Coleman of Salemburg; brother, Dewey Inman (Peggy) of Raeford; sisters, Doris Webb of Wallace and Frances Howell (Craig) of Laurinburg; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Ten Mile Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials are encouraged to be sent to the Ten Mile Baptist Church Playground Fund.
