Our Sincere Sympathy to the Family of Don Shuttles.. Don was a friend, for many years, he was always close by whether we needed him to repair a problem or have a cup of hot coffee and talk about the weather!! Don will be missed and his friendship a treasure.

Jimmy Don Suttles, a beloved member of the Florala community, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025 at the age 81. Known for his generous spirit, strong work ethic and deep faith, Don spent his life in service to others, both under the hood of a car and behind the counter of a neighborhood grocery store.
A gifted mechanic by trade, Don earned the trust and respect of generations in the community who brought their cars to him, knowing he'd treat them honestly and fairly. His shop wasn't just a place to get your vehicle fixed-it was where neighbors gathered, stories were shared, and friendships were forged.
In addition to his work as a mechanic, Don was the owner of a neighborhood store, where he quietly helped countless families in times of need. Whether it was extending credit, delivering food or offering a kind word, his acts of kindness left a lasting mark on the hearts of many.
His greatest joy was found in his family. As a devoted father and "Pawpaw," Don cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was the kind of grandfather who always had time to talk and lend a hand.
Don was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Florala. He knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and lived a life that reflected Christ's Love and compassion.
Though he may be gone from our sight, his legacy of love, service and faith will live on in all of us. He was preceded in death by father, James Roy Suttles; mother, Evelyn Josey Suttles; infant son, George Suttles, grandsons, Timohy Suttles, Dustin Suttles, TJ Suttles and Josh Huckabee.
He is survived by sons, JW Suttles (Tracy) Jimmy Suttles, Tim Suttles (Laura), Roy Suttles (Amanda) and Robert Suttles, daughters, Tina Barns (Shawn), Glenda Stokes (Steve) Trixie Suttles and Susan Gunter (Joseph). He is also survived by numerous grand and great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Jimmy Don Suttles will be 2PM Wednesday August 6, 2025 at Evans Funeral Home with Ray Bundy and Eddie James officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Brooks Cemetery.
