Jimmy B. Estrada, 83, passed away surrounded by family Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2025, at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park with U. S. Marine Corps military honors.
Jimmy was born September 4, 1942, to Senarino and Aurora Maldonado Estrada in Albert Lea, Minnesota while the family was engaged in temporary work. Quickly returning Texas, Jimmy was one of five boys in the multi-talented Estrada family. He attended public schools in Wichita Falls and graduated from “Old High” as a Coyote in 1962. Jimmy played center for three years on the Coyote football team, and was on one of the last State Championship teams in 1962. After graduation Jimmy joined the United States Marine Corps and served four years. As always, Jimmy was well organized and had a plan upon arrival back at home. He had been visiting with a young lady at church and at school, and had kept in touch with her these past four years. Upon his return he proposed to Eloisa Esparza and they were married September 24, 1966, and to this union a beautiful boy was born, Timothy Jon Estrada on October 26, 1977.
Jimmy went to work for Gates Rubber Company and later retiring from Sealed Air after many years of loyal service. He and Eloisa had moved to Iowa Park, Texas when Timothy was three years old.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Manuel and Joe; and sadly, they lost their son Timothy, September 15, 2020.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eloisa; sisters-in-law, Jane Rayes, Fort Worth, Donna Estrada, and Linda Estrada of Wichita Falls. He is also survived by two brothers, Lee Estrada and wife, Cindy of Lane, Oklahoma; and Felix Estrada and wife, Suzanne of Wichita Falls. There are also many nieces and nephews and dear friends that mourn Jimmy’s death.
