Jimmy Potter, age 83, of Artesia, MS, passed away October 4, 2025 at The Windsor Place in Columbus, MS.
A visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Artesia Baptist Church. Lowndes Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
Mr. Potter was born on September 11, 1942 in Reform, Alabama to the late Arthur L. Potter and Ruby Lucille Roberts Potter.
Mr. Potter loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching NASCAR, particularly Dale Earnhardt. Mr. Potter had been a member of Artesia Baptist Church his entire life and was a pipefitter, working with Daniel Construction.
Mr. Potter is survived by his wife – Maggie Potter; daughters – Lisa (Joe) Gibson, and Susie (Scott) Rushing, Lucy (Stephen) Langley; grandchildren – Brandon (Susan) Rushing, JoJo (Chelsea) Rushing, Jessie (Clay) Gilliam, Brittany (Cole) Younger, Casey (Autumn) Nail, Madison (Taylor) Richardson, Kaleb York, and Evan Langley; 3 great grandsons; 6 great granddaughters; brother – Art Potter, Jr.; and sister – Shirley (Buddy) Russell.
