Not sure what to say?

Joann was a very good friend of mine when we went to elementary school together. WS Harlan In Lockhart. Haven’t seen her in 60 years or so, but we ran across each other on Facebook every now and then. RIP my old friend.

Sincere Sympathy to all of JoAnn's Family and Friends..
I had not seen JoAnn in several years, until late one afternoon I run into her at the Beauty Shop!! We had a great time laughing and talking, she looked good and seemed to be doing good!!
I'm so sorry bad health took its toll on her, she was a good person!!
JoAnn, may you be at peace as you enter the Pearly Gates of Heaven, God Bless your Sweet Soul.....

Jo Ann's Obituary

Jo Ann Pickron, age 71, of Florala passed away September 14, 2025. She lived a life full of love, adventure, and joy. She had a special gift for finding treasures at yard sales, enjoyed traveling to new places, and most of all cherished time with her family. Whether near or far, her heart was always with those she loved.

Nana Jo’s faith in Jesus Christ carried her through many health struggles. Even in her hardest days, she remained steadfast and found her strength in Him. Her family takes comfort in knowing that her sustaining faith has now led her home to eternal peace. Her journey here has ended, but her legacy of love, faith, and family remains.

She leaves behind her beloved family who will miss her dearly. To her grandchildren, who knew her simply as Nana Jo, she was a source of laughter, love, and wisdom that will live on in their hearts forever.

She was preceded in death by father, Henry Lee Pickron; mother, Sally Mae Clark Pickron Maraman; stepfather, Edward Maraman; brother Lavon Pickron.

She is survived by sons, Chris Carnley (Jessica) and Joey Carnley (Angela), daughter, Mandy Prater (Zach), brothers, James Pickron (Dot) and Billy Pickron (Sara), grandchildren, Turner, Emma, Taylor, David, Katelynn and Peanut and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Jo Ann Pickron will be 11AM Wednesday September 17, 2025 at Evans Funeral Home with Chris Davenport and Brent Zessin officiating, with visitation beginning at 10AM. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

The family wishes to express gratitude to all who cared for her and ask that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Cancer Freeze, P.O. Box 92, Florala, Alabama 36442.
