Not sure what to say?

When learning of cousin Jo-Ann’s passing a flood of memories came rushing back. Two little girls walking hand in hand to Brackenridge Park or the Zoo while laughing as her grandpa told us silly stories. (The monkeys & traffic lights) Or meeting up at our grandma Sara’s house. Waiting for Grandma to put the delicious gorditas or hot tortillas de maíz (topped with butter and just a little salt) on our plates. So long ago but in my mind we are still those giggling little girls.
Rest in...

I’ve known JoAnn since 1970 at Irving Je High and then to Jefferson High School where we graduated in ‘76. I was the original “uber” driver as I drove several friends to school and Jonwas one of them. After graduation we went our separate ways, I left for the Navy and lost contact with her and others until I returned home in 1997. I caught up with her through common friends and some gathering. I knew about her husband passing and her health issues. I was saddened to hear of her passing last...
