Not sure what to say?

So very sorry for your loss, we know she's in Heaven! Our prayers for her Family!

My 1st MIL, Margaret Stone Hall, & I loved going to Garage, Estate, Yard & Rummage Sales together. We just loved going to Mrs Frizzell's Yard Sales on 247 Falba Community because she had so much to offer. She was always smiling & so cheerful, & helpful! She'd have at least 2 big Sales a yr, always on 4th of July weekends was one of them! I'd call my MIL & tell her Mrs Frizell was setting it up, & she'd come up that weekend! I use to see Mrs Frizell from time to time at HEB or Walmart, still...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Obituary

Jo's Obituary

JoAnn was born on January 29, 1933, in Albany, Gentry County Missouri and went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 18, 2025.  She was raised by her grandparents Susie and Joe McCrary.

After graduating from Albany High School JoAnn moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she met and married Abbie Frizzell on September 28, 1952. They moved to Houston, Texas and soon started a family. JoAnn worked many years as a teller for Port City State Bank. She and Abbie owned and operated wreckers in later years before selling the business and moving to Huntsville, Texas in 1972. JoAnn and Abbie spent many a day working in their garden. They raised enough vegetables to feed the whole county. JoAnn loved nothing better than having a garage sale. The neighbors in Falba and travelers on FM 247 looked forward to their huge sales.

When Abbie started having health issues they were forced to move into town. JoAnn went to many garage and estate sales and raised over $6,000 a year for three years for the Senior Center of Walker County by reselling items at the center ‘store’ and having rummage sales for them. JoAnn loved going to the Senior Center. The congregate and volunteers who delivered meals on wheels were always greeted by a smiling JoAnn. She loved playing bingo and played a mean game of 42.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her grandparents, loving husband of over 60 years, Abbie, and her oldest son, Abbie Jr.

Survivors include son, W.J. Frizzell and wife Jessica, daughter Susan Retzlaff and husband Wolfgang, and daughter Joy McCracken, grandchildren Joey Frizzell, C.J. Frizzell, Kristen Frizzell, Tiffany Poole and husband Evan, and Shay Retzlaff. She also leaves behind great grandchildren William Joseph Jr., Anastasia, Hudson, Levi, and Phoenix.

The family wishes to express our deepest thanks to Benchmark Hospice, especially Kris, Dr. Olsen, and Shelly.

JoAnn and Abbie’s ashes will be mixed together, and they will be buried in a private ceremony.
