Aunt Joan was a wonderful person. She gave me my first perm when I was in the 2nd grade. Sundays she and Uncle Gene came for dinner. She always took the time to have a conversation with me all through my growing up life.

Joan B. (Ross) Allan, 96, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, in Milford, New Hampshire.
Born on June 20, 1929, in Revere, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Frances Russo and Harry Ross. She grew up in a close-knit family alongside her siblings Thomas Ross, Edward Ross, Eleanor Gaudet, and Gloria King.
Joan was married to Eugene Allan, with whom she shared many years of companionship before his passing. Together they built a life centered around love and family. Joan was deeply devoted to her loved ones and took great pride in her role as a mother and grandmother.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Steven Allan, and daughter-in-law, Carol Allan; her grandchildren, Brooke Allan, Heather Allan, and Scott Allan; and her great-grandchildren, Vienna Verro and Lucien Barraford. Her legacy lives on through them and the many cherished memories they hold.
Known for her dedication to family and her exceptional cooking skills, Joan brought warmth and comfort to every gathering. Her kitchen was often the heart of the home, a place where stories were shared over lovingly prepared meals. She was a loving grandmother whose presence brought joy to those around her.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
