Not sure what to say?

Thanks for being a good friend and a better person and thanks for the prom dates so many years ago.Living out of state I wish Id known about your valiant battle but you will always be remembered and held in my heart.

So sorry in my thoughts

I was so fortunate to have seen Joan one more time. My deepest sorrow for the Boys in her passing. Even though our paths took us on different roads., she was very strong and determined throughout her life. We had many a holiday together growing up and she was gracious to be Megan's godmother.

My deepest condolences to you and your family.

There are no words to express the feelings of sadness at Joan's passing from this life. May the memories of her love for her family and friends bless all who knew Joan.
With love, Cheryl and Remo

Joan's Obituary

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Joan Scott Goodmaster, our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on April 15, 2019 at Smilow Cancer Hospital.

Joan, 61, formerly of Wallingford was born on July 11, 1957, a daughter of the late Harold and Glenice (Pickering) Scott, and was raised in West Haven. She was a graduate of Gateway Community College and had a lengthy career as a real estate appraiser. She was the proud mother of her two sons and a doting grandmother to her two granddaughters.

Joan is survived by her sons, Jason Goodmaster (Julie) of Higganum, Kyle Goodmaster (Ali Hefland) of Denver, Colorado; two brothers James Scott (Bette) of West Haven and Harold Scott of Branford (Joan Scott of Wallingford). As well as her cherished nieces, nephew, and granddaughters. Her family and friends brought much joy and happiness to her life.

She will be remembered most for her delicious Christmas cookies, famous cheesecake, love for traveling, and desire for the warm Florida sun.

Her family would like to thank all who supported Joan during her valiant battle with leukemia. Every visit, phone call, and text meant the world to her. She will be missed dearly.

Joan’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Thursday, April 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
