Not sure what to say?

May her soul rest in peace and God may give each of you strength to bear her loss. It was so nice to have known Joan and then rent of the family when we were neighbors in Ladue Farm Estate. Joan has left us good memories. Love, Ila and Chandrakant Tailor.

God rest your beautiful soul. I will miss you my friend.

I am so lucky to have known Joan. She was one of my sorority roommates in college. She was the person who introduced me to my husband of 61 years this summer. Joan was beautiful in the most important ways. She was caring, thoughtful, gracious, smart and a team player. I will continue to remember her with admiration and respect!

Mrs. Vitucci was a true class act. So many fond memories of her and the Vitucci family. Lots of love to you all. Thank you for the great memories.

Joan's Obituary

Vitucci, Joan C., passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the age of 84. Beloved wife for sixty-one years of Louis Vitucci; mother of Deborah (Brian) Stertz, Chara (Joseph) Lorms, and Dr. Michael (Jennifer) Vitucci; grandmother of Mackenzie and Vita Lorms, Anthony Vitucci, and Isabella Henderson. Joan was a devoted wife, mother, family member, and friend whose greatest gift was the way she made people feel. When she spoke with you, you had the unmistakable sense that you were the only person in the room. She listened with a genuine curiosity, asked thoughtful questions, and cared deeply about what was happening in the lives of those around her.

Her family was always her highest priority. She never hesitates to " go to bat" for her children, advocated fiercely for them and working tirelessly to create a life of safety, stability, and opportunity for her family.  Her selflessness and quiet determination shaped the lives of those she loved most.

She was a lifelong learner with a sharp mind and wife-ranging interests. A proud Ohio State Buckeye and a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, she valued education and curiosity, always eager to understand more about the word and the people in it. She was an exceptional dental hygienist of thirty years. She had a deep love for nature and animals and found joy in the simple rhythms of the outdoors.

Those who knew her well-remembered her distinctive energy: she walked fast, drove fast and lived with a purpose. She had a fondness for German cars, a daily appreciation of coffee ( with a little sugar), and a remarkable knack for understanding the markets-often outperforming them. But far more important than any investment was the time, care, and attention she invested in her family and friends.

Above all, she was deeply loyal and profoundly generous with her time, her attention and her love. Her warmth, intelligence, and steady presence created a sense of security for those around her that will be felt for generations. She leaves behind a family who will forever carry her lessons, her strength and her love.  Services: Graveside service at Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. As a service of the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
