Joann C. Ellis, 81, of Friendsville, PA passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Friendsville. She was born on December 10, 1943, in Queensland, Australia to the late Lindsay and Doris (Brackley) Ormsby.
Joann is survived by her daughter, Terry (Ernest) Severcool; grandson, Tom (Kelsey) Severcool. 2 great-grandchildren, TJ (Thomas Jr) and Kora; sister, Gladys (Alan) Strohl; brother, Gary Ormsby, and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Llewellyn (Tom) Ellis; son, Randy; granddaughter, Missy Severcool; sister, Betty and brother, Richard.
Joann loved her family deeply and enjoyed visiting with friends. She was also a dedicated New York Yankees fan.
A Funeral Service for Joann will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11am at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, 232 S. Main St., Montrose. Interment will follow in the Birchardville Cemetery in Birchardville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11am prior to the service.
