Joel “Joe” Richard Irvin of Amarillo died Thursday June 20, 2019. Arrangements made by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel.
Joe Irvin was born to Alvin and Clara Irvin April 20, 1938 in Wheeler Texas. Joe enjoyed the little things in life such as fishing, gardening and sports. He loved Nascar and you could find him Cheering for his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr every Sunday. He loved animals, goats, chickens, dogs or cats Joe loved them all. He was quite the jokester but never meeting a stranger, Joe loved meeting new people. His true love was for his children and grandchildren. he loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. Joe was a hard worker. He worked for Pantex for forty-Five years, working with Venessa Beach for 35 years.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Calvin Irvin, and two sons, Mickey lynn and Kevin Irvin.
Joe is survived by two daughters, Sabrina Gipson and Melissa Nash, son Guy Irvin, seven Grandsons Zachary, Tim, Theron and Kristopher Irvin, Jeremy and Jarod Gipson, and Brandon Frazier, three Granddaughters Farrah Armstrong, Julie Ice, and Keri Oliver, Numerous Great Grand Children and one Great Great Grandson.
