John David Anderson

John David Anderson passed away on August 17, 2025, at the age of 56.  John lived in many places with his family while growing up and made many friends. He landed in Bumpass, Virginia for several years until he moved to Carrollton in 2023 to be closer to his family.  Friends and family were important to him. John had an unusual laugh that brought everyone to laugh with him.  His laugh will be missed. 

John’s love of cars and motorcycles stems from his early years. He loved drag racing and building his own vehicles. John was a certified Master Mechanic and State Safety Inspector, and could fix just about anything.  He retired from Tires Unlimited in 2023, but maintained a passion for cars and drag racing. His ideal retirement was to teach his nephews how to on work cars and how to maintain the racing cars.  He loved to drive around to see new or old things.  He wanted to travel however he found staying here and spending time with his mother and sister’s family was where he was needed.  He loved going to OBX, taking short trips, and going to concerts. 

John has two dogs, Hannah and Red, they were by his side through thick or thin. Bleu, his first best friend, and Hannah and Red were his all.  The family will care for his best friends as he wished. John believed in the United States of America and followed politics closely. He was boisterous in his opinions and believed in researching and studying about the truth, his favorite time was outside watching animals and their antics. 

Preceding John in death was his father David S. Anderson Jr.

John is survived by his companion, Melissa Fuller; mother, Patricia R. Anderson; son, Aaron Shelby Anderson; sister, Elizabeth A. Markiewicz (Scott); and nephews, Benjamin D. Markiewicz and Christopher M. Markiewicz.

The family will receive friends from 11-12:30 pm Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton.
