Not sure what to say?

John was a wonderful. He and my father became friends when daddy must have gotten to know him by having service done to the car or maybe they met while hunting deer. They loved each other very much.
Donna, and family, I was so surprised when Jim called me to tell me John had passed away. Darlene had seen it in the NR on Saturday. I read the paper Friday and remember seeing the picture and not recognizing the face, I glanced at Hillsborough and thought I don't know him and moved on....

My condolences to Johns family and close friends. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, Donna Brown Askew.

I am so saddened to hear of Johnnie's passing. He was such a good man and was always so enjoyable to talk with. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Donna, Katherine, Jay and all of his extended family.

Johnny was our brother; the best brother anyone could ask for; supporting us anyway he could. He was a good soul and faithful servant. We know we were blessed to have him in our lives. Jeff and Frances Brown

I'm sending hugs and prayers to Donna, Jay, Katherine and the rest of your family. We have such great memories of our many family reunions and holiday "get togethers"! I remember going to Donna and Johnny's wedding. Someone took a picture of my family all standing together and it was one of the very best pictures ever took of us as a young family!! I know you're going to miss him but, always treasure those precious memories you have of him! With love, Your cousin, Wendy ❣

Donna,
My heart is broken for you and all of the family. Johnny was such a genuinely good man and I always enjoyed talking to him he definitely had a gift for storytelling and it was very evident how much he dearly loved you and all of his family in every story he shared.
He will be missed so much..
Praying for God to comfort you and giive you peace.
Love, Tonya

John was such a good man who truly loved his family and friends. He is going to be missed terribly by all who knew and loved him. His final battle with cancer was certainly a courageous one and now his suffering is over. He now knows the secret we will all learn when we cross to the other side. Rest in Peace our friend John. You were truly loved and appreciated while you were here.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

I got my first newer car from Mr. Askew. He was always so kind to me. I’m so very sorry for his loved ones loss. Prayers sent
