John J. Asta

I served with a Marine named J. J Asta. I am trying to determine if this is the same person. He was greatly respected by the Marines with whom he served.

My sincere condolences to John's wife, daughter, sisters and brother-in-laws. We always called him "John the drummer". Have not seen him in years. Sadly, I did not know him well. Wish I had visited him and wish I had danced to his drum music. Dear John, may you rest in peace. One of his second cousins, Joye E Asta
