John Clarence Barbour, Jr.

Callands…….John Clarence Barbour, Jr., age 62 of Callands died Sunday June 22, 2014 at his residence. Born November 8, 1951 in Pittsylvania County he was a son of the late John Clarence Barbour, Sr. and Corrie Parker Barbour. He was predeceased by one brother, Troy Barbour; and three sisters, Hazel Barbour, Jackie Gray, and Kathryn Hankins. Mr. Barbour was a former employee of Hooker Furniture. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, singing, and wrestling. He also enjoyed racing, especially Jimmy Johnson, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by one brother, Roger Barbour of Bassett; three sisters, Margaret Harris of Martinsville, Joyce Sowers of Axton, and Agatha Pigg of Chase City; and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. Susan Adkins. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 P.M. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.In lieu of customary remembrances the family suggests memorial contributions be made in his memory to Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, P.O.
