On July 7/01/2010 Tigers played The D-Back's here in AZ. I was sure to wear my Tiger's jersey with pride! Gibby being our coach and all. We sat behind the bench so I could get Gibby's autograph for Uncle John & Little Jimmie.Feeling so excited being so close and my eyes not missing his movement...Eric Young saw my enthusiasm of wanting Gibby's autograph...He threw me a game ball and blew me a kiss, along with a apology for not getting Gibby's autograph for me ...as he was not happy that his...

John's Obituary

John Boggess, age 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Center Line on Friday December 22, 2017.  He was born in Madison, IN on March 25, 1940.  He was a retiree of Chrysler Corp. of more than 32 years.  John proudly served his country in the Army from 1958-1960.  He is best remembered for his selflessness and caring nature.  He was an avid bowler for most of his adult life.  Other things he is remembered for was his interest in puzzles and mind benders, and tinkering with many things.  He had a love of tools and he was a die hard Detroit Tigers fan, but he enjoyed most all sports.

Beloved husband of Sharon for more than 52 years.  Beloved father of Donna (David) Olceski, John M. Boggess, and Carol Stefankiewicz.  Loving grandfather of Malerie, Devin, Amy, and Alec.  Loving great grandfather of Goldie and McKenna.  John is survived by 9 siblings and preceded by 1 sibling.

Visitation Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 2-8 pm with a religious service at 6:00 pm at Ford Funeral Home, 26560 Van Dyke (South of 11 Mile Road or the I-696 expressway), Center Line.
