Visitation for John D. Bolf, 82 of Mundelein will be July 8, from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Kristan Funeral Home 219 W Maple Ave. Mundelein. Funeral Service will begin at 6:00. John was born February 20, 1942, In Chicago, Illinois to John and Marie Bolf and passed away June 14, 2024, in Mundelein, Illinois.
John enjoyed playing golf, especially in Palm Desert California. His most exciting time was getting a “Hole In One” at Steeple Chase golf course. He played handball for many years, and cheered on the Chicago White Sox especially when they won in 2005! Needless to say, he was extremely annoying to his Cub fan friends. John was one to make sure EVERYONE knew they’d won over and over again. John worked at Kimberely Clark for 40 years being awarded the Salesman of the Year Award. Jobs before that included delivering groceries when a teenager…he paid one of his worker friends $1.00 to make a delivery for him, always found a way out. He also laid cement during a summer as a teenager. He quit that job after a short time because it was too hard to work in the hot sun. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Bolf, his loving step-children Laura (Brandon and daughter Ellie) Tony (Kailyn and son Connon) and Max who he deeply loved. He is predeceased by his parents John and Marie Bolf, brother Jim (Sheila) and his brother -in-law Ralph DeFalco In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in John’s name to Tunnels To Towers
