John Henry Borkholder

John Henry Borkholder, age 83 of Nappanee, IN, passed away on Sunday evening, December 7, 2025 surrounded by his family at his residence.  He was born on September 3, 1942 in Bremen, IN to John A. and Sarah (Miller) Borkholder.  John lived his entire life in the Nappanee area and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  On June 23, 1966, John married Rosanna Beachy in Topeka, IN.  Mr. Borkholder is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Rosanna Borkholder of Nappanee; 4 children: John (Alma) Borkholder of Goshen, IN, Lyle (Carol) Borkholder of Nappanee, Treva (Alton) Kuhns of Etna Green, IN, and Beth Ann (Leonard) Herschberger of Nappanee; 23 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 siblings: Eli (Clara) Borkholder of Bremen and Irene (Eli) Lehman of Milford, IN; 3 sisters-in-law: Edna Borkholder of Topeka, Elnora Borkholder of Nappanee and Sharon (Noah) Schrock of Nappanee.  He was preceded in death by his parents; stillborn son, Daniel Borkholder; a great-granddaughter, Katy Kuhns and 9 siblings: Roman Borkholder, Malinda Bontrager, Katie Yoder, Gilbert Borkholder, Ruby Yoder, Tobias Borkholder, LeRoy Borkholder; Eddie Borkholder, and Larry Borkholder. Visitation will be held after 2 pm on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 and all-day Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at the Leonard Herschberger Residence (9519 W. 1050, Nappanee, IN 46550). A funeral service will begin on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 9:30, also at the Leonard Herschberger Residence.  Burial will follow in Graber Cemetery and Bishop Dan Miller and Home Ministries of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate.  Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home.
