It was always nice to see John. I am sorry to hear about his passing. My Condolences to his family and friends.

It was always nice to see Mr. Bradley whether at a party or in the neighborhood. He was someone that was always in a pleasant mood and made you feel that he was happy to see you. Val and I are so sorry for your loss.

May the memories of your Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle, or any extension you may have to Uncle John live on.
Since we are unable to attend the upcoming services to celebrate Uncle Johns Life, just know we are sorry for your loss and are thinking of you during this time of sorrow.

January 18, 1932 – May 30, 2020

May 30, 2020.  Age 88 of Philadelphia (Mayfair).  Beloved husband of late Mary Joan (nee Brennan).  Devoted father of Karen Petrillo (Steve), Susan Gannon (Joe), Michele Walsh (Terry Devlin), John J. Jr. Bradley (Sandy), Matthew Bradley (Bridget) and the late Mark Bradley.  

Loving “Poppy” of 14 Grandchildren; Christian Petrillo, Megan Metzgar (Dan), Bridget Gannon, Colleen Gannon, Kerry Lynn Walsh, Ashley Black (Dave), Bradley Walsh, Shannon, Julie, Kelly, Savannah, Mary, Melissa, Erin Bradley and one great-grandson, Luke Metzgar.  Brother to late Pat Young, Joan Bradley, Mary Mojica, Joe Bradley and late Bill Bradley.  John was part of a large family of many nieces, nephews and cousins.

John was raised in Kensington and graduated from North Catholic. A lifelong Philadelphia resident who enjoyed reading the Inquirer front to back each day and was an avid fan of the Flyers, Eagles, Phillies, Pick 3 & Cash 5.  He was a Korean War veteran, bricklayer retired from Pepsi Cola, Philadelphia and member of Teamster Local 830 after 34 years.  John raised his six children in St. Matthew Parish where he lived for over 58 years.  He loved vacationing down the shore and up the mountains with family and friends.

John bravely battled Multiple Myeloma after being diagnosed in 2019. Relatives and friends will be invited to a celebration and funeral Mass at a future date due to Covid 19.  Interment will be private at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
