John was a great person to be around and to work with. I had the pleasure of working with him on many occasions. He knew his job very well and lived what he did. I give my deepest sympathy and prayers to his family he loved and cherished...John you will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you...

Growing up down the street from the Burdick's I have fond memories of their family. I spent hours with Lenore learning how to bake, knit and crochet. I remember baking cookies and John playing the piano, singing and teasing his mom. He was always trying to get me to dig for night crawlers in the compost ditch in the backyard, yuck, and showing me how to work on a car. He introduced me to Leon Russell, who I still love today. I am so sad to hear of John's passing.
I worked with John at AFC and he always brightened my day with his cheerful personality whenever he popped into the office between his trips to the field. I can still hear him shout "Hey Cactus Head!" just like it was yesterday.

So sorry for your loss. Johnny was a great guy and will be missed. Every time I would travel for work and see a guy at baggage claim picking up a toolbox, I would think of him. And every time I would get close to Cape Girardeau, I would think of him, since he spent so much time there for work.

From the very first time I met you there was a smile on my face. Johnny was always quick on his toes to crack a joke or just whole heartedly show his love towards my wife and I. I learned things from him when he didn’t even know he was teaching me. He appreciated the outdoors and gave me a better understanding of what it meant to him.
