Delmore Jr ,John "Johnny" a retired Carpenter with over 60 yeas of service a resident of Geismar and native of Brittany,LA departed this life at 8:30 PM on October 13, 2012 at his resident.He was 82.Visitation will be at St Paul Baptist Church ,Gonzales,LA on Friday , October 19, 2012 from 5 PM until 8 PM and on Saturday , October 20, 2012 from 10 AM until religious services at 11 AM. Conducted by Rev LaThought DeLaney,Jr, Pastor . Interment church cemetery.He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loved and devoted wife of 59 years Mary L. Williams Delmore , his children Joan Shivers, Lannis Delmore, Charles Delmore, Michael Delmore,Gail Delmore, Gregory Delmore,Vernessa (Rodney) Rideau, Patricia Delmore, Shanda Delmore, Tammy (Jerome) Bonds,Curtis Delmore,Kevin Delmore, Stacie (Troy) Draten and Debbie Bassett. 23 grandchildren,23 great grandchildren, His brothers children , Rene' , Lois Monroe, Jimmy Delmore, Paula Delmore and Karla Jefferson, One brother Lannis Delmore,two sisters Ruth Nell Delmore and Emma Delmore, a brother-in-law Issac (Johnny Mae) Williams, sisters-in-law Minerva Dorsey, Cora Burns, Dora B. Williams, Dorothy Delmore, Mary L. Williams, Claudine Williams and Helen Davis. Godchildren John Lee Lewis, Sandra Dorsey, Paula Delmore, Chad Douglas and a host of nieces, nephews,cousins other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by a son Thomas , a great granddaughter Amazing Delmore,his parents John and Lucille Wilson Delmore Four Brothers Freddie ,Lester,Wilbert, and Lemos Delmore, Five sisters Ernestine Douglas, Abby Bell, Ethel Delmore, Connie Melancon and Pearl Nabor. ason-in-law Mark Shivers and a Goddaughter Marva Christy
