John Adrian Dubose

John “Adrian” DuBose, a devoted son, brother, uncle, and respected professional, passed away leaving behind a legacy of service, faith, and dedication to others.

Adrian was a proud graduate of Murphy High School, Class of 1996. He continued his education by earning a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Alabama, a Master’s degree from Mississippi State University, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Jackson State University. His commitment to learning reflected his passion for helping others.

Adrian honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army National Guard. His dedication to service extended beyond the military into his professional career, where he worked as a Clinical Psychologist at the VA Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. There, he provided care and support to fellow veterans, making a lasting impact on the lives of many.

At an early age, Adrian accepted Christ and was baptized at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama. His faith remained a guiding force throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Albert DuBose Sr., Marjorie Gildersleeve DuBose, Emily Lula Roberson Howard, and Albert Howard.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Thomas Albert DuBose Jr. and Cynthia Howard DuBose. He also leaves his brother, T. Andre’ DuBose, and sister-in-law, Dorothy D. DuBose; his nieces, Tiffany Davis and Tyra DuBose; his nephews, Shemar O’Dell, Clifton Davis, and Thomas A. DuBose Jr.; and one great-niece, Ice’Lynn DuBose. He is also remembered fondly by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Adrian will be remembered for his compassion, intelligence, and unwavering commitment to serving others. His life was a testament to faith, perseverance, and love, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
