John's Obituary

Eichorn, John Michael, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the age of 73 in St. Louis, Missouri, after a lifelong battle with complications from multiple sclerosis (MS). John was born in St. Louis to Ernst and Pearl Eichorn, but he spent most of his youth in Belleville, Illinois. He attended and graduated from Belleville East High School. 

After graduating from high school, John joined the Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked at Chrysler in Fenton, Missouri, from which he later retired. During this time, John also earned an associate's degree in computer science. 

John was preceded in death by both of his parents and is survived by his sister Kathy (Eichorn) Keim. His children also survived him: Stephanie (Eichorn) Jenkins and her spouse, Derek Jenkins; Jennifer (Eichorn) Shaw and her spouse, Michael Shaw; and Jarred Eichorn and his spouse, Yuanaka (Ralston) Eichorn.  Additionally, he is survived by nine grandchildren: Faith, Virginia, Kaisar, Kamala, Deja, Nevaeh, Sawyer, Karma, and Xavier, as well as two great-grandchildren, Bellamy and Garrus.

John was a devoted Lutheran and a great supporter of his family. He enjoyed technology and loved watching TV and playing games. He will be remembered for his spirit, his love of music, antiques, gadgets, and especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Services:   Visitation at the FAMILY CENTER at SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Monday, January 5, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah St. Charles, 5911 MO-94, Weldon Spring, MO 63304.  Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
