John's Obituary

John William "Jack" Haney, Jr. 80 of Follansbee, WV died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at home.He was born on May 13, 1934 in Weirton, WV a son of the late John W. and Jessie Emma (Wainfor) Haney, Sr. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (Pellicciotti) Haney on March 27, 2006, a brother, Robert Haney and his sister, Betty Ward.Jack was a veteran of the Army. He retired with over 30 years of service at Weirton Steel Corporation and was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 year club. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.He is survived by his sister, JoAnn Straker, Steubenville, OH; a sister-in-law, Barbara Pellicciotti, Mt. Lebanon, PA; two brothers-in-law, Quinlan (Susan) Pellicciotti, L.A. and Timothy (Toni) Pellicciotti and their mother, Margaret Pellicciotti all of St. Clairsville, OH; several nieces and nephews, Dominic (Barbara) Pellicciotti, Pittsburgh, PA, Michael (Susan) Haney, Steubenville, OH, Paula (Mark) Zapolnik, Lenexa, KS, Debbie Straker, Bob and Frank Straker all of Steubenville, OH; several great nieces and nephews, Dominic and Louis Pellicciotti, Taylor, Jillian, and Santino Haney, and Katelin and Kyle ZapolnikVisitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV. Vigil service will be held on Thursday at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 6th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Follansbee, WV with the Rev. Msgr. Paul Hudock as celebrant.Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV.Full military honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
