John William Huntsman Sr.

John William Huntsman Sr. passed away on September 14, 2018, at the age of 88, with his wife of 67 years at his side.

John was born November 27, 1929 to E.D. and Vida Huntsman in Walla Walla, Washington.  He was raised in Walla Walla and graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1947.

He worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad in the Car Shop from August 1950, until he retired in 1984.  John was the first man promoted from Pasco and transferred to Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.  He was a member of the Odd fellow and Masonic Lodges and a volunteer fireman in Pasco.

When John retired, he and JoAnne sold their home and went full-time Rving.  It was an adventure for 27 years, covering all of the USA, and most of Canada and Mexico.

John is survived by his wife, JoAnne his four children, John William Jr. (Jeanette), Diana (Michlitsch), Mary Jane (Engelsma), and Paul (Kristine); 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and only brother Bob.

At John’s request no services are to be held.
