John "Jack" S. Grabowski

I had the privilege of meeting John through the Holy Name Society. He was a wonderful person inside and out. Always friendly and talkative. He was my counterpart with selling turkeys for the Annual Turkey Shoot. I will miss seeing his smiling and friendly face. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

So sorry for your loss! I took my son for haircuts at John the barber, down the street from our Oak Park home. At some point I learned that John’s daughter, Linda, was my brother Harold’s friend. I also learned about caring for orchids from John. Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.

My family has known John the barber since the early seventies. My dad went to him and then brought my brothers to the shop on Madison street in Oak Park. Many years later my husband and I moved down the block from him in North Riverside and we became neighbors and fellow parishioners. I brought my grandkids to picture with Santa AKA John the barber with those beautiful blue eyes. He was a great Santa! When taking walks John would invite us to the back yard for a cocktail, nicest man ever and...

I am saddened to be learning of Mr. G’s passing. Grabowski family, please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. The whole Arndt family thought very highly of him and Mrs. in our Cicero years and I loved seeing them in North Riverside as my neighbors.
