I knew John for a long time because I go to the First Baptist Church and he was a wonderful person! I will miss seeing him! Sorry for your loss! God Bless You! Prayers for comfort!

John was the most sweetest guy ever and he was so friendly , I knew him for when he was at the adult day care at Samaritan and he was always happy and jokeable .. my mom and him where very good friends .. RIP john u will be missed very much

WATERTOWN, NY – John Michael Jarvis, 68, passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2025 at home.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Watertown on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
John was born on April 18, 1957, in Massena, the son of the late Robert and Zella Jarvis. He graduated from Massena High School.
John worked in supplies at Fort Drum Military Base for many years, eventually retiring from his position there. After retiring, he was employed by Walmart.
He enjoyed painting and was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Watertown, where he actively participated in Bible Study. Over the years, the church became a second home to him.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Denise Carrigan) Jarvis of Watertown and James Jarvis of Watertown; a sister, Dorothy (Randy) Besaw of Massena; three grandchildren, Zecharia Roshia of Florida, Rae-Anne Jarvis of Watertown, and Riley Jarvis of Watertown; a niece, Whitney Besaw and her family of Massena; and a nephew, Nathan Besaw and his family of Massena.
